It's me and hubby 6 months wedding monthsary today. We had this pork for lunch. And in the morning we went to the supermarket to buy food and milk for baby. It's snowing but it is not so cold as yesterday. Today the temperature is -7. Yesterday was -30. It is also cloudy and foggy today and as usual very quiet. You can hardly see people on the street walking. I think everyone are hiding in their shelf in this coldy season.

Temperature here is extremely so cold. Negative 30 degrees. It makes me scared to go outside. I really don't like too much cold because it makes me sick. And sometimes it's so hard to wear layer of clothes. It takes a lot of time to do it.

Just recently i changed my blog design (again). I actually have changed it couple of times already but these are the only three site screenshots i have. My blog has a right side bar when i first started it. I changed it to several color themes. But yellow is really my favorite color so most of it i used yellow color. Later last year i changed from right sidebar to three columns with left and right sidebar. And lately, i removed the sidebar and put it below the blog posts. So now my blog has a one column only. I like it so much because it looks new and clean.

What do you think of my new blog lay out? Do you think its better from the old one?

Guess what's in the mail today? I can't wait to use it. Unfortunately, the sim card with my same number hasn't arrive yet. I don't know why they didn't send it at the same time. Well, i have to wait for it. I hope tomorrow it will come so i can use this phone already. I have to switch from iPhone 3 to iPhone 4S for a change. I know this is more a lot better than my old phone. What do you think?

One Year In Finland

Today is my one year here in Finland. I remember when i arrived here on January 18, 2011 i was so surprised with the weather. It was really cold and was so hard for me to adjust the weather. But now i already used to it and i am so much happy and grateful that i reached one year. So many things happened in one year and i guess i don't have to enumerate what things happened to me in the past year since i already wrote everything here. If you are interested to look back the day to day happenings you can read it all here.

Anyway, i took these photos this afternoon while hubby is watching the baby. It was snowing yesterday and today so there are a lot of snow in the backyard again. Good timing for snow photo shoots. It was cold outside. My hands are freezing but it won't stop me from taking pictures. I wanted to have a souvenir of my one year here in this lovely house and amazing country. I feel blessed!

Mom To Be: Week 40- The Due Date

January 7, 2012- 40 weeks pregnant

So today is supposed to be my DUE DATE- January 7, 2012. But i gave birth early when i was in 36 weeks which makes my baby 4 weeks old now. Right now i am enjoying my baby so much. And even though she is premature everything are okay. She is normal and healthy. I enjoyed my everyday life with her. It is such a nice feeling to see your baby every single minute. She is so adorable. I am so grateful to God for this wonderful blessings. God made my dream come true.

Year Review: My Life In 2011

My year 2010 was indeed good and memorable. It was that year i met and found my soul mate and true love. The year 2011 on the other hand is definitely MY YEAR! So many things happened in my life. All the significant events in my life happened this year. They happened almost at the same time. And it really amazes me. I can't believe all those things happened in one year. I never expect it. And i never thought it would happened that fast and that easy. It really changed my life. My dreams has come true and i can never be happier. God has been so good and i am so thankful for all of this. Without Him i am nothing.

This is what happened to me in 2011 month by month.

JANUARY

On January 17th i fly to Finland. And i can't forget my very first day in Loviisa. I never thought that trip would changed my life forever. I came here with a one month tourist visa with a purpose of getting to know my boyfriend better. I risk everything. I was in the middle of now or never. I wanted to try something. I wanted to see what's waiting for me here in Finland. And i wanted to know if my relationship to my boyfriend will work or not. If he is the right one for me or not. I was very excited and cannot wait. Apparently, i never thought it changes my life paths. And indeed became the new beginning of my life. A new adventure that tends me to have a new life. A life that is better to what i expected it would be. A life full of love, joy and new beginnings. A life where i became a wife and a mother.

FEBRUARY

It was in February 14 when i got my residence permit here. I didn't expect they would grant me the permit since that time i wasn't married yet. I was so lucky to have my permit granted in 12 days. It was then the time i decided to stay here for good. And i realized maybe this is my path. That God answered my prayers and questions. I asked God's sign and guidance if i am really mean to be here and if i am mean to be with my bf. This month also i learned that my sister has passed the nursing board exam. I am so happy for her.

MARCH

March is the month full of explorations and adventures. I am already two months here. I'm getting used to the cold weather. I learned to love the snow. I enjoyed taking photos outside even though it's really cold. I got to know my love well. He is a very sweet person and i just woke up one day realizing that he is the one for me. My love for him has grown deeply. And i wanted him for the rest of my life. This month also i got my first ever DSLR camera. It's a Nikon.

APRIL

April was my first Spring in Finland. I saw new flowers bloom in the backyard. The trees has grown their leaves. I saw green everywhere. And colorful flowers were alive again. It was so beautiful! My love and i had our grill time for the first time. And we watched this American car show in Helsinki where i was so amazed by the nice cars. This month i started my 365 photo project. Also this month my love and i dreaming to have a nice wedding at Eiffel Tower in Paris. We were thinking of a fairy-tale wedding there. It didn't happened there though.

MAY

Early of May i found out that i was pregnant. I remember we were in the store when suddenly i felt dizzy and wanted to vomit. I was so scared and nervous that time. I was already delayed for one month. Few days later i had pregnancy test and it was positive. I was so happy. God grant my prayers. Later that month i had my first check up and heard my baby's heart beat for the first time. I was so overwhelmed.

JUNE

In June i celebrated my first birthday in Finland. I spent my day touring around Helsinki. It was a fun and memorable birthday. Just me and hubby. This month i saw my baby through ultrasound for the first time. I had my baby's first photograph. This month also hubby and i decided to have a church wedding.

JULY

Only in July i knew that i have to be registered in Maistratti as a resident in Finland. And only this month i knew i have to get a kela card and be a member. It seems so late for me to know this important information. This month also i was busy preparing for the wedding. We bought my wedding dress, our rings, booked the church and the reception.

AUGUST

On the 6th day of August i got married to the man i dated for eleven months. It was a simple church wedding. And indeed the most special one. This month hubby and i celebrated our fist anniversary as sweethearts. We were dating one year on August 28. And this month i started my family blog- Little Slim Girl.

SEPTEMBER

On September 16- 23 hubby and i were in Crete island, Greece to have our honeymoon. It was our first trip together outside the country. We had one week amazing days there, relaxing, exploring the island, having a road trip and of course enjoying the sun and swimming. It was so fun and memorable.

OCTOBER

In October i went to the Philippine Embassy in Helsinki to report my marriage and get a new passport. Also this month i received the maternity package from Kela. It was full of baby stuffs. I was so happy and grateful. This month i enjoyed the Autumn with the colorful leaves.

NOVEMBER

I finally got my new passport with my new last name. This month my belly was getting big and round. Baby's kick became so strong. I had my maternity photo shoot with hubby later this month. I wasn't shy of showing up my big belly to the public hehhehe.

DECEMBER

This month i am 8 months pregnant and i never thought i will give birth early. My daughter was born on December 9. This month also i got my status A residence permit. And I celebrated Christmas here with my own family for the first time.

I thanked God for all the blessings me and my family received. I am so much thankful and happy that He gave me a great life. For answering my prayers, granting my wishes and for everything He has done for me. Without God i am nothing. My year 2011 was indeed great and full of memories. A lot of life's changes happened this year. I hope that my 2012 is also fruitful and a successful year. I wish more blessings, good health and happiness in the coming year.

Goodbye 2011

Year 2011 is almost over. This year i can honestly say it changed my life generally. My dreams has come true and i feel so blessed to be able to achieve them. First and foremost, i never thought i would come to Finland and moved here. And i never thought my travel here would changed my life forever. It seems that time runs too fast. I even didn't notice it. Yesterday i was a happy go lucky girl without anything to think except myself. Now i am married, a mom and i have a daughter. My life really has changed in 2011. And i could never be happier. I thanked God for all the blessings i got. And i now say goodbye 2011. And i am hoping for a happy and successful 2012.

Merry Christmas Everyone

This is my first Christmas in Finland. The first one i celebrated away from my family. And the first time i celebrated with my own family-husband and daughter. Christmas here is quite different from what i used to be. In Philippines we usually attend mass on the night of the 24th. And then we waited the 12 midnight to have dinner/noche buena together with our whole family. But here we had our dinner early. I admit i miss home so much. I miss my family so much. I miss the noisy and happy people around, the Christmas lights on the streets, the noche buena, the happy family get together and the traditional Filipino food.

I am so thankful to God that despite the fact that i feel bored today and yesterday, i am still blessed to have my own family whom i cared and loved so much. I am happy that for the first time in my life, i finally celebrated Christmas with my own family. I felt great. This means so much to me. And this is such a beginning of our life together as a family. I wish everyone has a lovely and merry Christmas!

1 Day Before Christmas

"Today we celebrated Christmas here. We ate the big ham hubby cooked. It was so good. And in the evening Santa knocked our door and left some gifts. I received this gift (green one). The red one is Rianna's first Christmas gift from her uncle and aunt. They are her first visitors since she was born. The gift consist of two tiny clothes. I love the pink dress so much. It is just too big for her now that she can't fit it yet. I can't wait her to grow big and wear it.

Our Christmas here is so simple. I am little sad because i miss home and family. I miss the happy family get together and the mass and the 12 midnight noche buena. I wish to celebrate Christmas like i used to be back home. I miss it so badly. "

"Today we finally put our Christmas tree at home. It is a real tree. I know it's kinda late to put a Christmas decoration. But that's their style here. Hubby usually put Christmas decorations during this time. At least 2 or 3 days before Christmas day. And let it stay until one week. The tree is so simple with only few decorations and few lights. But it is very tall, like 7ft to be exact.

3 Days Before Christmas

"As we all know Santa Claus live in Finland. hahhaha i wonder if that is true. But i only heard that here. In Philippines kids and children knows Santas are not true. They are just someone who wear costumes and make kids happy in the mall. But here in Finland most kids believed in Santa including hubbys kids. So today hubby is wrapping his Christmas presents for kids. Its funny to watch him doing it. Never i thought he knows how to wrap a gift. So i took a chance to take these photos while he was busy wrapping. He was like... ( dont ever let the kids see that photos... ) of course i wont show them, i will just blog these photos hahahha.... sorry my love! On Christmas eve he will do a trick like Santa is coming here in the house and bring those gifts for kids. I wonder how he will do it without making kids notice. We will see.

6 Days Before Christmas

"It seems that Christmas day comes too fast. I don't even realize it is six days left before Christmas until i check the calendar. We have been so busy lately and don't have enough time to enjoy the season. I gave birth a week ago. Staying at the hospital for almost a week makes me forget Christmas is coming. I've been worried about so many things including my baby's condition. I really hope and pray she will be fine. Yesterday we've been to hospital too and staying there for another night. The next day we will go back there again for another check up. It's quite sad and stressful, hospital is 30 minutes away.

It is my first Christmas here in Finland. And the first time to celebrate Christmas with my own family- hubby and daughter. It is supposed to be fun and exciting. Apparently, things didn't go that way. We have to think of baby's status first before having fun. Our house is empty. We don't even have time to put a Christmas tree. :("

Mom To Be: Week 36

December 10, 2011- 36 weeks pregnant

Today (Dec 10, 2011) is my 36 weeks of pregnancy and my baby is one day old. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl yesterday (Dec. 9) through normal delivery. She arrived 4 weeks early and we didnt expect it. The labor and pushing was so intense and a very traumatic experience of mine. It was my first time to feel that crazy and most painful pain i ever experienced in my entire life. I will soon write my daughters birth story as soon as i am completely healed and fine.

But right now allow me to say thank you for everyone who read my maternity update and week by week pregnancy. This book is closed now as my pregnancy is over. I am so much happy and thankful to God for giving me an angel baby girl i can call "MINE". The feeling is amazing and overwhelming. I am now a mom and i am so proud. I have the best Christmas ever!

It seems that i miss my posts for Christmas countdown few days already. Well, to let everyone know i gave birth to a baby girl last Friday december 9. And until now we are still at the hospital. My baby arrived 4 weeks early so she's little smaller compared to the other baby. And she has many check ups and tests making sure she is okay. I know she is fine and healthy but i don't know what the reason this hospital have for not letting us go home until now. I am so frustrated :(. I want to go home to rest, get healed and explore my little child.

17 Days Before Christmas

"Today is quite cold here 2 degrees. I decided to return the Finnish language book i borrowed at the library a month ago. It is Finnish language where you can learn the language by reading it. It was hard for me to understand the words and i dont have enough courage to read or study it. I dont know why. The month has passed and didnt learn any words from that book. Quite sad, isnt it. I think i am just too lazy to read. Or maybe just uninspired at the moment. Someday i am looking forward to go the language school. By then i for sure can learn easily.

By the way, we ate at Thai Tip today. I am glad it is a right timing because they have fried chicken strips. I really love it. It is so delicious. In the late afternoon when i woke up from a nice nap around 5pm i noticed snow falling. Finally i saw the snow falling down again. Its December already and snow came little bit late. I just hope it wont snow that much. I hate too much cold.

"Today i am home alone. Hubby is working until tonight. In the morning i didnt notice the snow starts falling. I was still in bed i guess when the snow comes. Because when i came out of the room i noticed theres so much white outside. I looked at it carefully. And yeah it was snow. But not so many. They even starts melting already. I want to see snow falling from the sky and take photos of them. Just few and not so thick because then it is very cold here."

Mom To Be: Week 35

December 3, 2011- 35 weeks pregnant

Today i am 35 weeks. The nearer the due date, the harder i thought it would be. My belly is so big now that it is really so hard to sleep, to change sleeping position, to stand up, to get up from bed or even to sit down. My babys movements become so strong and more frequent and it hurts.

Apparently, i am getting excited to see her soon. Hopefully soon. I really can't wait!

20 Days Before Christmas:

"Today i bake chocolate muffins. It's not a perfect muffin i can tell. But they eat them so i guess its still taste good and yummy.Everyone is home because it's holiday here, today and tomorrow. It's a lazy day for me too. I didn't go anywhere. I even refused hubby to go with him in the supermarket to buy food. We usually go to store together and buy our food and daily needs. But today i stayed home resting. My baby keeps on moving strongly inside my belly. It hurts sometimes. It's amazing to watch my belly moving knowing an angel is living there. I can't wait to see him/her soon."

Christmas Countdown: 22 Days Left

22 Days Before Christmas:

"Today hubby and i went to Kotka. It's another town, 30 minutes drive. We tried to see what we can buy there for Christmas presents and also some baby stuffs. They have bigger malls than in Loviisa so we were thinking we could find better and cheaper things there especially for baby. We spent few hours there shopping and had our lunch. We finally bought important things for the baby. And by coincidence we met his cousin and colleague there. They also came for shopping.

Weather today is "0" degrees. Quite cold already. But as you can see the road in the photo there is no snow yet. (There is no snow in Southern Finland yet). I hope it will snow before Christmas day because i wanted to see white Christmas trees in the street and take photos of them.

Anyway here's my list for today. I wanted to write down the countries i wanted to visit someday.

Christmas Countdown: 23 Days Left

23 Days Before Christmas:

"Today I finally got a chance to watched The Breaking Dawn movie. The theater here is not yet open for that movie so hubby and i went to another city where the cinema is open. We drove about 30 minutes and arrived there minutes before the movie started. We tried our best to catch up the showing time.

I am a big fan of Twilight and i never missed to watch all the series. I love the movie so much. I love the love team effect of Bella and Edward. And the story is very nice and thrilling. However, this Breaking Dawn is not as good as the previous movies. It's not as nice and romantic as the previews one. I don't understand the story so much! It's more on pain than happiness. It's so sad to watch Bella being sick and pregnant that way. It seems so complicated. Is she really dead? Of course not! I can't wait to watch the part 2 and the final movie. I wonder what's gonna happen next."

Christmas Countdown: 24 Days Left

Yay! It's December already which means Christmas is along the corner. I am so excited. I don't know why. I just love Christmas so much because it's a season of joy, loving and giving. But wait a minute, where is the snow? Why snow hasn't come here yet? In the Northern part they have already snow, but here not yet. Hmmm i wish to have a lovely white Christmas here. And i wanna see white in everywhere this Christmas. It's gonna be pretty for sure.

Anyway, i am doing a Christmas countdown here. I will be posting anything about Christmas stuffs every day. This is my first Christmas in Finland and i want it to be a memorable one. Every day i am going to blog about what i did on that day with Christmas mood of course.

Photos were taken the other day during the Market day here in Loviisa. So many things like Christmas decor and all kinds of Winter stuffs. The day was good but very cold and windy. Temperature was "0".

24 Days before Christmas:

"Today hubby and i started looking for a Christmas present for the kids. We haven't found something yet. But hoping we can soon. I also had my prenatal check up today. I am 34 weeks and 5 days. Everything goes fine. My weight now is 62.35 which they said is normal. Baby's heart rate is 150. The midwife and i were talking about labor and how to deal with it. There will be a possibility that i will give birth on Christmas day or New year. Oh man!

Mom To Be: Week 34

November 26, 2011- 34 weeks pregnant

Today i am 34 weeks and 5 days. I had my prenatal check up this morning. Everything goes fine. I now weight 62.35 kilos. Baby's heart rate is 150. My sugar level is fine. Hemoglobin is fine. Baby is facing down. Overall is fine and i am glad about it. The midwife told me about labor and how to deal with it. I am still worried about labor but i am confident enough that i can do it and that God will help me.

This week has been horrible. So much fatigue and tiredness. The baby grows so big now that i can feel and touch his feet, elbow or hands. The kicks are so strong. He also have hiccups sometimes which makes me wonder if that's really a hiccup or not. I can see my belly move when the baby moves also. It looks like the baby is crawling or something. Sometimes the big moves caused pain. I kept telling baby to make the movements little slowly. Hay! i wonder if the little creature understands me. It's getting much harder to sleep here. And going to the toilet is now frequent especially night time. I wake up sometimes in the middle of the night just to pee. So hard to change sleeping position from one side to the other. And look at my belly how big it is already. So many friends says it's a boy. But who knows. We will see when it comes out instead.

Anyway, I can't fit most of my coat anymore. So yesterday we bought new jacket/coat for me. Bigger than my usual size.

Big Christmas Tree

Christmas is almost here, yay! Who doesn't love Christmas? It's probably the happiest season of the year. Time of giving and loving. Today hubby and i had an opportunity to take photos of the big Christmas tree in the city center. It was such a huge Christmas tree and so nice. However, it would be nicer if there's snow on it which make it looks nicer and white.

There is no snow here yet. But in the Northern Finland snow is everywhere already. Here in the Southern part is only cold and windy but there's no snow yet. They said it's gonna be a warm winter. And may not have white Christmas here. I always prayed that snow won't come early because i don't like cold, and guess what until now the snow hasn't come yet, instead. Now, that i am ready for it and excited for it so we will have they called "White Christmas". Probably not this year, snow is nowhere to find. Well, who knows maybe tonight or tomorrow snow will start falling. We just have to wait, right?

I bought new stuffs today. Bought this three color nail polish and some tights. It's been awhile since i am looking for a black and red nail polish and could not find it in the local store. Fortunately, today i found it in the other store. And gladly they are on sale. There are a lot of colors to choose from and i just love these three and bought them.

Also bought some thick tights. I need them especially this cold season. Wearing them as underpants to make my legs warm. They are thick and long. Love them!

Today i got a chance to photograph myself and my big belly. I am 33 weeks pregnant and as you can see my belly is so big now. It's getting harder here especially during sleeping time. So hard having a big belly plus the pain you feel every time you move or change the sleeping position. Well, the fact that i am having a baby soon is amazing.

Mom To Be: Week 33

November 19, 2011- 33 weeks pregnant

I am now in my week 33. And finally showing up my naked tummy hehheehe. I wanted to have many belly shots while i am pregnant. I am actually planning to have another photo shoot with my husband soon. Being pregnant is cool and amazing and i don't want to miss the opportunity of having my big belly photos as a souvenir. I don't know when to get pregnant again.

Anyway, let's talk about my 33 weeks pregnancy ups and downs. On the first day of the week i was very sick. I remember it was around 12:39am, Sunday midnight of Nov. 20, when i felt my stomach was sick. Then i went to the toilet. I had diarrhea and stayed their for almost three hours. I also vomit and i felt so much pain in my stomach every other seconds. I don't know what's going on but then i researched on the internet through phone and learned that it is common to a pregnant woman to have diarrhea during this week or even before this pregnancy week. I was scared and worried because i was alone at that time. Good thing God helped me and i went back to sleep trying to forget the pain. And i woke up in the morning and i felt better. The baby is still moving.

So many changes happened this week. Aside from the baby getting bigger, the kicks getting stronger too. I can feel now the tiny foot, elbow or hands moving and kicking. So big and strong. I love to feel it and touch my belly always. Sometimes it's painful but it's okay i know it's normal. It is also getting harder to sleep here. Bigger belly and hard to breath. So painful every time i change sleeping position. I sleep on my side and if i go on the other side, it is such a struggle to move and change position. Like i wanna cry.

Also i noticed this week that my left foot has swollen. Don't know why only the left. The right foot gets bigger too but not as big as the left. I also gained more weight and still love to eat sweets. Can't rid of it ;(. This week also i started playing nursery rhymes in my phone and let the baby listen while i sing a long. I think the baby like it because she/he move fast and strong. How sweet it that?

How are you there? How's life in mamas tummy? You are now 31 weeks old. Your kick almost reach on my ribs. And you are so big now. I can see feet moving. You are such an amazing angel.

I can't wait to see you darling. I wanna hug you tight and take care of you. This week i downloaded nursery rhymes on my phone. And let you hear it. I noticed that when i play it, you dont move at all. Maybe you wonder what sound it is. But i hope you like it baby. I love to lie down and touch my belly and listen those kiddie songs. It is our bonding and i love it.

Labor And Giving Birth Training

Yesterday i attended labor and giving birth training in Porvoo hospital. It is a free training given to those who are first time mom to be. It was very awkward then because i was the only Asian there. And of course the lecturer speaks Finnish. It was hard because i don't understand anything she said. I understand few and by looking at the illustration helps me understood. Good thing hubby was there too so he tried to translate some important information. I am not so worried about it anyway, because i knew little thing about labor and giving birth. And i already read so much information in the internet.

The labor photos they showed us scares me. I can't describe myself having those unbearable pain and doing something to ease the pain. It looks like you are going crazy. Oh my gosh i really hope and pray that i won't suffer that much.

They showed us the labor room, shower room and teach us what to do during labor. And how to deal with the labor pains. It was nice to be able to attend those kind of training although i don't understand all. But i am still happy i was there. At least now i know what to do and what not to do.

November 12, 2011- 32 weeks pregnant

I am now in my 32 weeks. Sooner or later the baby will come out. But i am hoping he would come on the right time and not premature. Sometimes i think that what if the baby will come out early. It makes me worried. But i pray that he will come on the due date and not so early.

I had my prenatal check up the other day. I gained weight. I now weight 60 kilos from 47. I was a little worried but they said it's normal to gain weight. Others even gained that much. I don't want to make the baby big inside because then it's harder to push during the birth. My belly measures 28 and baby's heart rate is 150. Everything is okay. Baby is healthy and i am healthy too. It's so nice to hear your baby's heart beat beating so fast. How i wish i can see her now. The baby's head now is down. Feet on the top. His kick is much harder compared before. And sometimes i can see the foot moving inside my stomach. Sometimes the stomach moves too. It's nice to see it but sometimes the kicks are painful.

This week, sleeping is much harder. The pubic bone and my back is so painful especially when i changed my sleeping position during night. It's really so hard. I also noticed that my feet and legs begun swollen. This whole pregnancy makes me so ugly. Darker skin, dark nipples, dark underarms, dark thighs. It makes me believed this baby might be a boy.

This stage now is much harder than before. But its not the end yet, i still have to experience more pain and hardships. I just need to be strong and always pray that everything will be fine. Thinking about the labor scares me.

New Passport

Hubby and i went to Helsinki the other day. I retrieved my new passport (new last name and civil status) from the Philippine embassy office. After waiting for a month and a half, i finally got it. I need that new passport for my residence permit. I have to work it before i give birth and before my permit expires. It has few months left though before it expires. But i have to renew it soon as i can while i still have energy to walk. My pregnancy is almost due and it's getting harder to deal with it lately.

Anyway, i thought it was nice to have a photo of your own country flag. So here i was, posing in front of the embassy and have this funny photos. I looked weird and so fat hehehhe.

Dear Baby: 30 Weeks Old

Dear Baby,

You are now 30 weeks old. Your kicks almost reach on my ribs. But not there yet. I can tell you are so big now and so healthy too.

We visited clinic the other day and had our check up. Your heart rate is 150, very fast. i love to hear your heart beat. It seems surreal.

When you move i can see my tummy moving too. It is so amazing. But now that we are two months away everything gets harder here. Mama felt so much back pain and hips pain. So painful when i move especially when i sleep. Sleeping is now a struggle. But don't worry mama is strong and she will survive.

New Members Of The Family

I am so happy to tell everyone that we have our new members of the family arrived on November 11. Our two little cats we named Diego and Britney. They are sister and brother. And they are so cute. They love to cuddle all the time. And they are so cute when they play each other. However, sometimes it's bad because they scratch me. I have so many scratch in my legs and even stomach. They used to jump at me while i was sitting and typing in the computer. And their nails are long enough to leave scratch in my skin. But it's okay. Now i know how to protect myself from scratch.

They look like twins as you can see. The only difference is that Diego, the boy cat has white spots in his nose. And the other one don't have.

Today's Food: Fruit Salad

Here's another sweet treats for ourselves. I think everyone love fruit salad. So here's my little D.I.Y. on how to make a simple and yummy fruit salad.

What you need:

1 can fruit cocktail

1 can pineapple slices

1 can papaya slices

1 can condensed milk

optional:

other kinds of fruits you want to add on

nata de coco

raisins

kaong

buco

nestle cream

1. Just mix all fruits together in a large bowl. You can put many fruits or little fruits depending on your choice or how many people will eat.

2. Add the milk and mix it all together.

3. Put it in the refrigerator to make it cold.

4. Then serve.

Things Lately

So this morning i had a long walk. It takes about more than an hour. It was my first time to walk alone since i arrived here in Finland. Hubby is at work today so he can't accompany me. I need to be motivated to have exercise because I noticed lately how fat my legs are. And i am not sure if gaining 20 pounds is still normal in pregnancy. However, my midwife doesn't say anything bad about it. She said my weight gain is normal. So i guess i don't have to worry.

I have to confess that i am craving sweet foods. I love to eat them. Love to eat chocolates, ice cream, cake, candies and anything sweet. I know most pregnant women love to eat sour like green mangoes, etc. But for me it's different. I crave for anything sweet. I don't know why. I just love and enjoyed eating them. It makes my day, honestly!

Anyway, I stopped going to the gym for some reason. And then after a month of not going there and not having any exercise at all, i noticed that i become so weak. My muscles are weak and painful. Like when i sit down for few minutes and when i stand up my legs and feet are painful and i walk like an old lady. I know how funny that is to think about. Then i started to worry about the labor. I need some exercise, i need to do it everyday.

So from now on i need to work my butt off. No more laziness. I will try my best to walk or dance or do any other exercise at least once a day. I need to be strong and be ready for the labor. I still have at least 8 weeks to do it. So wish me luck.

Ways To Predict Baby's Gender

Almost all pregnant women wants to know the gender of their child even on their early pregnancy. Although there are still few who aren't interested to know it until the birth of their child. There are several ways you can predict your baby's sex. Some of course are not that accurate but others still believe on it.

Here are the few ways in getting to know the gender of your baby.

1. ULTRASOUND- It is the most common method in finding the sex of the baby. This is done during the 20- 28 week of pregnancy. Most of it is accurate.

2. OLD WIVE TALES- This is a funny way of knowing your baby's sex. This is actually like a fun game. They give you some questions, you answer it and the baby's gender will depends on your answers.

3. CHINESE LUNAR CALENDAR- Found in an ancient royal tomb near Beijing. According to the legend it is said to be 90 percent accurate as a baby gender predictor.

4. FETAL HEART RATE- Some say you can predict the gender of the baby through its heart rate. If it's above 140 that means a girl, and of if it's below, means a boy.

Mom To Be: Week 31

November 5, 2011- 31 weeks pregnant

Oh my gosh i am now in my week 31. Everything seems intense now. I'm getting so nervous that the delivery is coming so soon. I am scared, i am worried and i am anxious. I don't know how painful it is during the labor and i don't even know if i can take that pain. But of course i need to be strong when that time comes.

My belly now is as round as the ball or even bigger than the size of the ball. It is so hard for me to sleep. Hard to change my sleeping position because every time i move it is painful. And of course very sensitive too. I am using supporter everyday just to protect my belly from so much cold and also support it from making it so down. Until now i still don't know the gender of the baby. I honestly can't wait to know it, however there's two months left so i guess i just need to wait and be more patience. Then i will be surprise when the day comes. I don't want to open my Christmas gift when it's not Christmas yet. So until the baby's birth, that's the right time i will know if it's a girl or a boy. It doesn't matter to me anyway, as long as the baby is normal and healthy.

I love to feel the baby's movements all the time. Even though sometimes it's painful. The baby reacts when i starts talking to him or when i touch my belly. So nice and i feel so blessed to have this little angel. I am excited to see him very soon. I love this baby so much!
